Art Space X 는 2026년 6월 2일(화)부터 6월 28일(일)까지 한불 수교 140주년을 기념하는 《140주년 한불교류전》를 선보입니다. 이번 전시는 “예술을 통한 만남, 미래를 잇는 동행”이라는 주제 아래, 한국과 프랑스 작가 9인의 작업을 통해 양국 간 예술적 교류의 흐름과 확장 가능성을 조망합니다.

참여 작가들은 서로 다른 문화적 배경과 조형 언어를 바탕으로 회화, 사진, 오브제 등 다양한 매체를 선보이며, 전통과 현대, 동양과 서양이 교차하는 지점을 형성합니다. 각 작업은 개별적인 서사와 감각을 지니면서도, 서로를 비추고 연결되는 관계 속에서 새로운 의미를 생성합니다.

한국 작가 강경구, 김인중, 김민성, 김시현과 프랑스 작가 체사레 디 리보리오, 드니 브리하, 플로랑스 뒤수이에, 플로랑스 베리에, 토마 베쎄는 각기 다른 시선으로 세계를 해석하며, 회화적 제스처와 빛, 색채, 물질에 대한 탐구를 통해 동시대 예술의 다양한 층위를 드러냅니다. 이들의 작업은 단일한 흐름으로 수렴되기보다, 서로 다른 리듬과 간격 속에서 공존하며 확장됩니다.

본 전시는 140년의 시간을 기념하는 데 그치지 않고, 현재의 예술적 대화를 통해 미래의 교류를 모색하는 자리입니다. 작품들 사이의 간극과 연결은 하나의 결론이 아닌 열린 구조로 남아, 관람자 각자의 해석과 경험 속에서 다시 이어집니다. 이를 통해 예술이 어떻게 시간과 국경을 넘어 관계를 형성하고 지속적으로 확장될 수 있는지를 제안합니다.

Art Space X is pleased to present 140th Anniversary Korea–France Exchange Exhibition, on view from June 2 to June 28, 2026. This exhibition commemorates the 140th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and France, bringing together nine artists whose works reflect the evolving artistic dialogue between the two countries.

Under the theme “Encounters through Art, A Journey Toward the Future,” the exhibition looks beyond commemoration to explore the continuity of cultural exchange and its future directions. Through painting, photography, and object-based practices, the participating artists present diverse visual languages shaped by their respective cultural contexts. These differences unfold not as contrasts, but as points of resonance, forming a dynamic field of interaction.

Featuring Korean artists Kang Kyung Koo, Kim En Joong, Kim Min Seong, and Kim Si Hyun, alongside French artists Cesare di Liborio, Denis Brihat, Florence Dussuyer, Florence Verrier, and Thomas Besset, the exhibition reveals a wide spectrum of artistic approaches engaging with gesture, light, materiality, and abstraction. While each work maintains its own autonomy, subtle relationships emerge across the exhibition, generating layered meanings within the shared space.

Rather than presenting a singular narrative, the exhibition remains open-ended—allowing connections, distances, and intersections to form organically. In doing so, it positions itself as a platform for ongoing exchange, extending beyond the past toward future possibilities. Through these encounters, the exhibition invites viewers to consider how art continues to transcend boundaries and foster meaningful connections across time and space.
